Fundamentals of Mixture DOE

Multicomponent methods for rapid formulation development

If you’re formulating new products or refining existing recipes, you can’t rely on factorial or RSM designs: you’ll need to use specialized tools for mixture DOE. Take this course to learn how to properly design and analyze mixture experiments to achieve a formulation that hits the sweet spot meeting all product specifications.

Courses are held via Zoom, and attendees will need a copy of Stat-Ease software to participate in the hands-on activities.

All modules are $295 per person ($95 for academics).

Discounted rates apply when registering for more than one course.

Section 1: Specialized models and simplex design

Section 2: Blocking (Olive oil case study)

Section 3: Optimal design, cost, transformations and model reduction (Antiseptic case study)

Section 4: Next steps

  1. Get familiar with Stat-Ease software and DOE with the 10-minute video "Getting Your DOE Started With Stat-Ease Software."
  2. Before starting class, take our PreDOE: Basic Statistics for Experimenters to brush up on your statistical terminology.
  3. Watch the recorded Crash Course in Mixture Design of Experiments webinar on YouTube.
  4. Complete the two-part tutorial on "Mixture Designs" available within the "Help" menu of your Stat-Ease software or on our website. Stop when you get to “Adding Propagation of Error (POE) to the Optimization.”
