Basics of Response Surface Methodology (RSM)

Optimization tools tools for peak process performance

After deploying factorials to screen and/or characterize your factors, level up with RSM to optimize your process. These tools will let you map out the “sweet spot” where all requirements for process efficiency and product quality are met. This class is for users who’ve taken our Intro course, or who have some experience with DOE and are ready to dive into the next stage of mastering mulifactor methods.

If you do formulations, try our Fundamentals of Mixture DOE instead. Or, if you're ready to take the next step, sign up for Advanced Tools for Design and Analysis of Experiments.

Courses are held via Zoom, and attendees will need a copy of Stat-Ease software to participate in the hands-on activities.

All modules are $295 per person ($95 for academics).

A $50 discount per person is available if you register for more than 1 course or register more than 1 person for the same course.

  1. Augmenting factorial to central composite design (CCD) (Bench assay part 2 case study)
  2. CCD options, model reduction, optimization (Whey protein case study)
  3. Optimal design with categoric factors (Catheter OD case study)
  4. RSM design summary
  5. Mixture design overview, Next steps
  1. Participants should be familiar with factorial design of experiments. Not sure if you're ready? Take our Introduction to Design of Experiments (DOE) first.
  2. Complete the three-part tutorial on "Multifactor RSM" available within the "Help" menu of your Stat-Ease software or on our website.
