Finding the Vital Settings via Factorial Analysis

Finding the Vital Settings via Factorial Analysis

Learn how to analyze a two-level factorial experiment. Designed as a follow-up to the "4 Easy Steps to Effective Factorial Design" eLearning course, you will analyze the DOE (experimental design) studied there. Additional case studies are used to reinforce the analysis techniques. By the end of the course you will know how to fully analyze a factorial DOE including:

  • Selecting the effects for modeling
  • Interpreting an analysis of variance (ANOVA)
  • Using diagnostics to ensure a valid model
  • Interpreting graphs to optimize your product or process.

Expected completion time: 2 hours

Registration to this course provides you with access to the online content for 60 days. Successful completion of the course will allow you to print a course completion certificate with 2 PDH credits (.2 CEUs). Note: Only one registration can be processed per individual. Each person taking the course must register separately.

Agenda

  1. Observe—watch and listen to a screencast showing how to analyze the data from the 4-Step DOE Process
  2. Do (with help)—use an interactive screencast to analyze a second set of data
  3. Practice—practice your skills by analyzing a third set of data and taking a short quiz
  4. Demonstrate proficiency—analyze a fourth data set and take a final test to demonstrate your knowledge

PDHs: 2 (.2 CEU's)
