Mixture Design for Optimal Formulations (DL)

In this hands-on workshop, formulators learn how to use mixture designs to discover key ingredient combinations that maximize product performance. Then they use optimization to explore their formulations and identify the "sweet spot" where all specifications can be met. Experimenters will set up mixture-appropriate designs, select representative models, and generate contour plots in triangular space. Later in class, they will move into more advanced techniques to design for constrained mixture variables, optimize product formulas, screen mixture components, and study mixture and process variables.

This course runs for 4 days, with daily 3.5-hour Zoom classroom instruction. (Monday - Thursday 10:00am - 1:30pm Central Time USA.)
