Experience:
Since 1973 (as an employee) and 1983 (as principal of Quality Improvement Systems, and Scripps and Associates, PC), Tom has helped organizations apply statistical thinking for quality improvement through training and education seminars and consulting services. Mr. Scripps has led seminars for thousands of practitioners in numerous applications of statistical thinking by customizing presentations in such topics as:

· managing for quality,
· on-line statistical process control and problem solving, and
· off-line product and process design and development strategies including:

—experiment design,
—process capability studies and
—process modeling via response surface methodology

Professional Credentials:
· American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (1982)
· American Statistical Association Colorado—Wyoming chapter officer (1984-1987)
· ASQ Outstanding Faculty Award 1997-1998
· Developed and teaches “Process Modeling and Optimization,” “Process Capability,” and “Design for Six Sigma” courses for ASQ
· Teaches “Statistical Process Control” (SPC) and “Design of Experiments” courses for ASQ
· Regular speaker at regional quality and statistical society conferences

· BS Systems Engineering with honors—Southern Methodist University, 1973
· MS Statistics—Colorado State University, 1975
