Design-Expert is a terrific companion to the DOE textbooks I’m learning from. I’m not sure that I would be patient enough to crank through tedious ANOVA calculations and half-normal plots by hand. It has enabled me to apply an elegant subject (Experimental Design) to what I really like to do—synthetic organic chemistry, and process design. Its features are well thought out, and I am regularly surprised by something I didn’t know was there.
