Design-Expert 7.1 Manual

The Getting Started manual and tutorials are available for download from our web site at www.statease.com/dx7_man.html as a complete installation or as individual chapters (PDF files).

How to install the Program

The installation procedure is detailed in the Getting Started manual (DX7-01-GetStarted.pdf) starting on page 7, Internet Download. Follow electronic download file, dx7single-esd.exe, will install the Design-Expert 7 on your computer. Activation requires a serial number and password that will be e-mailed to you in one or two business days with the invoice. Meanwhile, you can use the program for up to 45 days by entering STUDENT for the serial number and choosing evaluate on activation dialog. By default, the installer will automatically fill in STUDENT as the serial number.

Activation

When you receive the serial number and password click on the Activate-Register Design-Expert 7 link in the Stat-Ease program group. You can choose to activate, register, or both. For Internet activation you will be prompted for your serial number and password. If this computer doesn't have an Internet connection, choose the Manual activation and you will see two User Codes displayed. Call us during Stat-Ease business hours* or e-mail the user codes to the program support address below. Be sure to include your serial number. We will get back to you with the necessary Registration Keys to activate your license.
